CT Dental Scan
A dental implant is a highly sophisticated procedure. The more information a surgeon has about the anatomy of the patient's mouth before a dental implant, the better the outcome. Important measurements for the surgeon to know include the width and density of the bony ridge in order to assess implant feasibility and the exact placement of the alveolar nerve in order to prevent painful nerve damage.

TMJ MRI Scan
According to the American Dental Association, fifteen percent of American adults suffer from chronic facial pain. Symptoms can include pain around the ear, tenderness of the jaw or clicking noises when opening the mouth. Headaches and neck aches are also common.
Several muscles control the lower jaw as it moves forward, backward, and side-to-side. Both TM joints are involved in these movements. Each TM joint has a disc between the ball and socket. The disc cushions the load while enabling the jaw to open widely and perform rotating movements. Disorder in this function can be very painful.
